Hiking

premier fly fishing on the Bow River, dissecting both towns in half.

of the Nordic event of the 1988 Olympics. With 22 million dollars
of upgrades slated for these astounding facilities, skiers will
have some of the best amenities in the world for their recreational
use. A considerable number of groomed and ungroomed ski trails can
be found through-out the various surrounding parks and wild areas,
for those with a taste for the wilderness.
Backcountry
Backcountry Huts and Cabins are scattered throughout the backcountry
and are widely used by the more adventurous, for both summer and
winter outings. Backcountry alpine skiers often use these cabins
as a base, or some just ski in to relax. For those who are all about
the decent, many heli-skiing lodges are found a little deeper in
the mountains, with luxury accommodation and perfect deep powder
on a daily basis.
